The problem:
As part of the Warm Front Grant, installers had refused to enter a loft and install insulation in a bungalow as a material suspected of containing asbestos had been spotted.
The solution:
One of our experts attended the property in order to take a sample of the suspect material for asbestos analysis. The sample proved to contain no asbestos, the certificate was provided to the installation company and the insulation was installed shortly after.
The problem:
Part of the property had become slightly water damaged through a leak in the water tank. The house was still occupied but in need of a major refurbishment as part of the main clients property portfolio improvement scheme. The survey company required several wall cavities to be inspected and the damage to be temporarily repaired.
The solution:
We undertook the intrusive elements of the asbestos survey as directed by the lead surveyor and then repaired the holes and cleaned the adjacent areas which were sufficient for continued occupancy of the tenant.
